Our treatment programs

Typically, the treatment structure involves group therapy, individual counseling, educational groups, recreation therapy activities and support services. Throughout evaluation and treatment, we focus not just on helping you in the immediate short term, but also on how you will succeed after leaving us. We aim to help you successfully re-enter your everyday life in a timely manner, and with appropriate follow-up care.

Intensive outpatient behavioral health

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a short-term structured treatment program that helps adults and teens return to optimal functioning and normal activities. Our team of specialists offers outpatient mental health services for various issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The IOP is available for adults and teens who need a higher level of mental healthcare than weekly therapy can provide, but for whom inpatient hospitalization is not needed.

Adolescent mental health

Our adolescent acute care program offers intensive inpatient treatment for teenagers experiencing psychiatric emergencies, or needing evaluation and treatment for long-term issues. Designed for those between 12 and 17 years old, we make sure our therapeutic environment is safe and friendly.

For more information about our teen mental health care program, call (208) 227-2100. If you or your loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis, come to EIRMC's ER for evaluation.

For those 18 years old and older, we offer individualized mental health care, including medication management, therapy, psychological testing and other services deemed necessary by the treatment team.

Behavioral center referrals and records

We offer a safe process for admission into the BHC, as well as a way to confidentially access your medical records.

Admissions

We accept referrals any time, 24/7, if you are experiencing a psychiatric crisis or requiring hospitalization. Our assessment and referral worker will work with you and any physician, mental health provider or professional supporting you.

Admissions to the BHC are based on medical necessity and may require a specific assessment or medical screening. Our team members assist in making the appropriate arrangements, including referrals directly from physicians.
