Because we prioritize routine cancer screening, we recommend seeing a doctor if you experience any of the following:

• Changes to the skin on your breast
• Dimpling or puckering on the breast
• Discharge from the nipple
• Lump or mass in the armpit
• Lump or mass in the breast
• Nipple changes
• Scaliness on the nipple
• Swelling of the breast
• Ulcers on the breast or nipple

In addition to self exams, the HCA Healthcare Sarah Cannon Cancer Network recommends that women get annual mammograms, beginning at age 40.
