Located just around the corner from our main hospital campus, we offer outpatient rehabilitation services to help improve and restore your strength and range of motion.
Conditions helped with physical rehabilitation
Physical rehab is designed to help manage symptoms of or aid in recovery after an injury or illness, such as:
- Amputations
- Brain injuries
- Cardiac events, including heart attacks
- Neuromuscular problems
- Orthopedic conditions and injuries
- Skeletal problems
- Spinal cord injuries and disorders
- Strokes
Types of rehabilitation programs we offer
Our outpatient services allow you to receive all the benefits of rehabilitation while still enjoying the comforts of your home and daily schedule.
After receiving a referral to our facility from your physician, our rehab specialists will create a program personalized to your needs and goals. In addition to the therapies below, cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation and specialized pediatric rehab programs are also offered.
Hand therapy
We treat a wide range of issues affecting the fingers, wrist, elbow and shoulder, including:
- Amputations
- Arthritis
- Burns
- Dislocations
- Fractures
- Joint conjecture reduction
- Nerve injuries or nerve compression syndrome
- Strains or sprains
- Tendon lacerations or tendinitis
Occupational therapy
Occupational therapy focuses on mastering skills to live your everyday life. We know that certain conditions and injuries can affect your daily rhythms, so our specialists work with you to focus on:
- Community activities
- Dressing
- Household chores
- Hygiene and grooming
- Leisure
- Social and work skills
- Using the restroom
Physical therapy
Physical therapists work to regain your range of motion, flexibility and strength. Applying specific exercises and stretches that target your condition, treatment may begin in inpatient care before moving to the outpatient program, or you may go straight to outpatient therapy.
Speech-language pathology (speech therapy)
Speech-language pathologists work with you and your family to focus on:
- Cognition
- Speech, language
- Swallowing
- Upper aerodigestive functional abilities
We are trained to treat voice, breathing and larynx (voice box) disorders, including stutters, and are the only facility in Eastern Idaho to do so. In addition to adults, we also treat newborns, children and teens.
