Urologic surgery

If you experience incontinence, kidney stones or reproductive system issues (male), you may potentially benefit from urologic surgery. Our board-certified urologic surgeons directly manage urologic diseases and only use conventional surgery when possible. Your care is collaborative, with a team of medical specialists consulting to ensure you receive the best treatment plan for your condition.

Vascular surgery

With access to specialized surgeons, vein specialists and advanced imaging technology, our vascular surgery program treats conditions of the arteries, veins and lymphatic systems. Our vascular surgeons typically treat:

Robotic surgery

In addition to traditional and laparoscopic options, our team can perform many procedures using robotic surgery. Robot-assisted procedures can offer several benefits, including faster recovery time, less pain and scarring.

During the procedure, a surgeon sits at a console next to you and operates using tiny instruments and a 3D camera. Your surgeon's hand movements are translated by a system in real-time, bending and rotating the tools while performing the procedure.

Preparing your child for surgery

Having surgery can be an anxious time, especially for children. We offer pre-surgery tours with a child life specialist to help families and kids prepare for surgery. The goal of these tours is to help familiarize your child or teen with the environment and medical equipment, ease anxieties and clear up any misconceptions about surgery.

When to call the doctor

You should contact your doctor if your child has:

  • Bright red blood or foul-smelling discharge coming from a wound
  • Difficulty urinating or inability to urinate
  • Increased swelling around an incision
  • Nausea and vomiting lasting more than 24 hours
  • Redness that is spreading around an incision
  • Temperature of 101˚ Fahrenheit or higher
  • Worsening pain not relieved by medication
