Neurology services we offer

We deliver neurological care that includes diagnostic medical imaging, neurosurgery, treatment for strokes, trauma management and rehabilitation.

Neurosurgery

Our neurosurgeons use surgical systems with high-resolution widescreen monitors that help us precisely track surgical instruments to your body, even as it may be moving and shifting. This procedural approach results in reduced risk and a quicker recovery, setting us apart as a regional leader in neurological surgeries.

Additionally, we are the only team in the area who performs trauma neurosurgery. Our surgeons blend modern science, skill and training to ensure that you have the best possible chance to receive positive results.

Stroke care

Through our Primary Stroke Center, we provide the most advanced stroke treatment available in the area. In the event of a stroke, we give you 24/7 access to neurologists, interventional radiologists and a designated stroke team. They work with local emergency crews to provide a coordinated response to your medical situation.

We also offer physical therapy and rehabilitation to help you maximize your recovery and return to the fullest level of independence possible.

Interventional radiology

Our specially trained staff uses medical imaging equipment to diagnose and treat diseases of the brain. Using neuro-interventional procedures that are minimally invasive, we pass small catheters into the brain's arteries and veins to treat strokes, tumors and narrowed vessels.

These advanced resources provide us the ability to safely restore circulation and remove blood clots in many who experience a stroke. This treatment helps minimize brain damage due to lack of oxygen by reducing circulation and removing the clot quickly.

Other treatments allow us to stop blood flow and dislodge the clot. We can also use a small tool to break up the clot and remove it from the body. Both mechanisms are much quicker than the typical approach of clot-busting medication alone. They can be effective in the hours after it's too late to intervene with only medication, improving your odds of a positive outcome.
