Burn center
With the only burn care program in the Idaho, Wyoming and Montana region, we are able to provide treatment for routine and life-threatening burns. Some of the burn care services we offer include:

- Reconstructive surgery

Chest pain center
We are designated as a Level I ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction Intervention (STEMI) Center by the Idaho Time Sensitive Emergency (TSE) System, recognizing us for providing the highest levels of care during emergencies such as heart attacks.
Our trained chest pain team works to reduce the effects of severe heart attacks by providing immediate care, beginning treatment during transport and continue to closely monitor heart activity at our facility.
Intensive care unit (ICU)
Our facility includes an ICU for adults experiencing severe injuries and illnesses. We coordinate care across specialties to include medical specialists, skilled RNs and support staff.
Level II Trauma Center
We are verified as a Level II Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons, as well as the Idaho TSE council, acknowledging our excellence in addressing complex conditions. All of the nurses in our emergency department are certified in the Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
Pediatric emergency room
Much like a separate pediatric hospital, our 24/7, kid-friendly pediatric emergency department is isolated from our main emergency room.
We are the first and only hospital in Idaho to earn expert status for Pediatric Care Readiness, the highest level possible from the Idaho Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program.
Our children's emergency department offers numerous essential services and amenities, including:
- 24/7 parental visitation
- Nurses trained in pediatric advanced life support and emergency nursing courses
- Pediatric emergency care coordinator (PECC)
- Pediatric-sized equipment to meet your child's needs
- PICU, should hospitalization be necessary

Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU)
In our ICU for children, the only PICU in the region, our pediatric intensivists are specially trained in critical care medicine for kids. We also have in-house child life specialists who help you and your child understand their diagnosis and treatment. Emergencies can be particularly worrisome for kids, so if and when there is a concern, these specialists help your child cope with any fears of hospitalization.
Primary stroke center
This unit is certified by The Joint Commission and designated as a Level II Stroke Center by the Idaho TSE. When needed, our team coordinates with our emergency room to provide quick assessment and intervention for cerebrovascular accidents (strokes), including administering clot-busting medications and interventional radiology procedures. Once our emergency department stabilizes you or your loved one, they may require admission to our ICU for monitoring, critical care and rehabilitation services.
